Kind attention  to senior authorities  of pratapgarh dist.   The residents of  kopa village are sore over the authorities’ cold response to their demand  police chowki here. The police chowki was currently running  at devsara tehsheel  since the late 19th century while serving little purpose to check the anti social activities. Around 100 villages were fallen under devshara  police chowki. The lack of transportation to Devshara is  another problem. Presently there  is no  bus service available to devshara . To reach police chowki one has to either to trudge 10-km  or to pay the exorbitant rates to. The odd location of police chowki has come as major motivation factor for anti social elements. Even for chowki police personnel it was hard to maintain law and order by sitting away on an isolated location .  During any mishappening they have to waste their lot of  time  .   I  received a several  phone call from my  villager  that they has been regularly  harassed by local thieves , they  stole there    agricultural machinery , like tube well, motor, fan, bicycle . villagers have lost peace. Every minute they are afraid of thinking what next!!! Several family  is experiencing a kind of trauma and  now all their  happiness is gone vein! What is the mistake they  have made? This is a question of humanity! Without doing any mistake why should they have undergone all these harassment? Thay have lost peace.     On many occasions the police assistance delayed due to outer location of chowki. The local panchayat has sought shifting of chowki on many occasions but of no avail. It was virtually illogical to keep the chowki at Devshara . In some cases the police intervention was timely required but that could not happen here, they maintained. Sources in police said that due to the location of block office in devshara  the shift demand has ignored. Ironically the district police some years back had planned to set up a police post in  dawood pur node . But it has not yet set up due to the reasons best known to police authorities.   Hence would like to bring it to senior authorities notice, and request them to kindly help them  to lead a life peacefully. The Harassment is continuing for the last  3 months   Expecting police or the senior authorities to consider my complaint and take appropriate action against theft, robbery in our village .
